[ic] Interpolating an ITL tag twice

I'm trying to interpolate the results of an sql statement for 
interchange tags. To avoid undue strain on the server the sql database 
has a large chunk of pre-generated html which includes [area] tags for 
the links (to pass form values etc.).

When I display the results of the query the area tags are not parsed, 
as the tag has already been parsed once. Is there any way I could force 
a second parsing of the result?

I had a look at using the interpolate_html sub of Vend::Interpolate 
(which I believe actually does the parsing) in a Usertag, but all I can 
get out of that is the number 1 :-/ Can anyone offer any pointers?
