[ic] Conformation email

Im testing my new site and the conformation email looks great.  The only 
problem is the link to check the status-its simply too long.  it is 
something like that:


http://www.name.com/~cart/cgi-bin/cart.cgi/process.html?mv_username=U00001&mv_password=11111&mv_click=Login&mv_todo=return&mv_nextpage=query%2fcheck_orders&id=gB8mDH5V&mv_pc=1466

Can i somehow shorten it?  It looks like the following code makes this link:
   [area form='
            [scratch mv_autocreate]
            mv_click=Login
            mv_todo=return
            mv_nextpage=query/check_orders
     ']

I am assuming that this send them to the check_orders page and automatically 
processes it with a user name and zip code as password?
