I'm running 5.2 and I have done a fair amount of customizing in my 
catalog (but I haven't changed any of the "internals"). 

I'll take a look at my code and maybe I'll also try it on a more 
"standard" catalog and see if I can reproduce it.

But, thank you very much for looking into this and giving me something 
to go on.
