Replying to my own post for the sake of the archives.

It turns out that the customer info in QuickBooks shows the address 
correctly for imported errors, and the problem only exists in the UPS 
shipping part of the new QB. My client said the UPS module has several 
other errors, but it beats re-typing all the customer addresses.

The QDashboard software I mentioned is a joke (almost as big a joke as 
QB). I couldn't even get it to launch on Win 98. Their support replied 
to me at first, but I never heard from them again.

I'm using IIF until it breaks big-time, or until my clients get rid of 
QuickBooks...
