[ic] Automatically Update Order

Hi,

I recently created an external script to change the status in the
orderline and transaction table from "pending" to "shipped" when an item
ships. However my customers are not sent their shipping confirmation
unless I go into the order and hit the "Update the Order" button. Is there
any way to automate this?
