[ic] Very long IC job?

I have an IC job that I've spent a lot of time optimizing but it just
seems to take a long time to execute.  The machine has a quad-core CPU
and 4GB RAM.  Is there anything wrong with increasing Jobs MaxLifetime
and just letting it run for a very long time each day?  Maybe as much
as 10 or so hours?  With the extra cores, I haven't noticed a slowdown
when the job is running, but I wonder if this is an irresponsible
thing to do.
