 I was thinking the same thing.....

  I understand this, since the customers available credit is reduced by the 
sale amount  especially if the transaction does not meet address 
verification requirements, thus a fail on authorization - personally I think 
authorize.net should kill these authorizations immediately or have a flag 
setting to do so.

If the Authorize.net provides a simple way to reverse the authorization - 
this would be a good thing in my opinion.

Yes, I will be looking into this as well when I get time - right now I don't 
think a gift card will be accepted in our transaction since they don't match 
on address verification - maybe that is our way out.
