If i go by the demo site, options don't work at all.  Every time I try to 
order an item with options, the cart page says "that link was expired. 
Please try ordering again."  Optionless products get added to the cart just 
fine.

Fails in Chrome 8.0.552.224 and IE 8.  Haven't tried FF.
