[ic] Many products - one large table or two smaller?

I have two IC catalogs running on the same server. Both sites use the
local mysql server, and each has about 600,000 products. Currently
performance is acceptable.

I'm considering combining them into a single catalog, but I'm concerned
about performance. Would I be better off making one large products
table, or using two separate products tables? Any thoughts or advice
would be welcomed.
