[ic] minimum and batch quantities

Hello,

I was recently reviewing:
[ic] HOWTO: minimum and batch quantities
http://www.icdevgroup.org/pipermail/interchange-users/2001-September/012493.html

to enforce minimum order quantity, and quantity multiples. It still looks 
good to me, but is from 2001.

Does anyone know if there is a newer implementation of this?

Currently using IC 5.7.6
