I ran this on V5.3.2 and V5.6.2:

[error name="foobar" set=1 hide=1]
[error name="foobar" std_label="Foo Bar" required=1]

V5.3.2 output:
<FONT COLOR=RED>Foo Bar <SMALL><I>(1)</I></SMALL></FONT>

V5.6.2 output:
* Foo Bar[else]* Foo Bar[/else] 1

Yes, that's an un-interpolated "[else]...[/else]" in the output. Is this a bug?
