one ssl server, many shop domains

I am setting up multiple minivend sites, with all of them using the same
ssl server domain name, but different domain names for most operations. in
my testing I found a problem where after using one site, if one tries to
place an order from a different site, one gets a "your basket is empty"
error when going to the checkout page, and basically loses all session
information.

after careful study of the code, I attempted to fix the problem as
follows.  it seems to work, but I just wanted to know if anyone sees any
hidden problems, or if by using two undocumented features I am risking
having things break later...  is there some other standard fix for this?

I changed the first <form ...> tag in basket.html to:
[set mv_no_count]1[/set]
<FORM ACTION="[process-target secure=1]RESET" METHOD=POST>
[set mv_no_count]0[/set]
