Re: Commercial versions
****** message to minivend-users from "Michael Radke" <mra@trendware.de> ******
Well, Daren..
the first shop will, of course, be a negative business.. the second shop,
you will know a little more about minivend, and the next shop come up
easier you think about.
A "ready shopping solution" for a price at 500 US$ won't fit your customer
needs, when you think about your specific customer needs, you will have to
make consequences about what can be done and what can not be done.
Over here in germany, people compare to "intershop" which costs about
$5000 - only for the license. For that money, people hold in hand only
a "packet of software".
Of course, this software may manage a high traffic site. Which other
software
package is capable of that - most are not. Minivend is capable of high
traffic, extensable to any (most) needs, but each web page must be created
(i think there are at least 9 template pages to set up).
You have to decide by yourself, if your shopping solution should fit
a) your customer needs, or
b) the software capabilities (..of commercial software)
Regards,
Michael Radke
