Okay...
I am investigating the problems I have a little deeper by now.
Mike told me that it works perfect for him (so it should not be a bug in
3.14).
To verify that it is not a wrong setup (perhaps in the localization-part) of
my catalog I've added the line
[calc]1+2.5[/calc]
to the simple-demo index-file on my site.
This gave me the same result "3" and not the expected "3.5"...
The two things left that can lead into the described problems I think are:
1. my general MV setup (MV 3.14) update from 3.11
2. the perl setup on my Linux-Box (SuSE6.1 default installation)
Perhaps there are other SuSE-Users who can try if the calculation works on
their machines with a 3.14...
