The NT
version of Minivend works well, I have two stores on a single computer and have
been running for about 6 months without many problems (with the lone exception
of getting that blasted Blat program to work.) As I am not a Dbase guru I
cannot comment on it usefulness across the linux and NT OS's, however, as long
as you have an ODBC driver you will be good. The basic process is
so:
Install an odbc client on the NT machine that uses the Linux
server as its Dbase server,
configure the catalog.cfg file to use it.
Oversimplified I know, however, the real question is whether
or not the dbase server can be set up in a client/server mode and then accessed
through ODBC.
