makecat can't find makecat.cfg

When I run ./bin/makecat it can't find ./bin/makecat.cfg even though I can 
see that the file is there.

the actual error says:
	Can't read config file ./bin/makecat.cfg: No such file or directory

any ideas?

also, I can't manage to get the www.mydomain.com:7786/mv_admin admin server 
to work either, so I can't create a new catalog.

Actually, I'm setting up minivend on a new server, so I already have the 
catalog.cfg files from my old system.  The only thing that I need makecat 
for (I think) is the binary in my cgi-bin.  Is there a way to manually just 
copy a file into the cgi-bin for my executable, or are there other tweaks 
that makecat does that I can't do manually?
