RE: [mv] SSL on different server - help.

Just to let you know, I went through your checkout process and everything
worked fine for me.
http://gayot.madmacs.net/cgi-bin/gayotdatabase/browse

A couple of notes on using a different secure domain:

1: hostnamelookup should be either on or off for both the secure and unsecure
domains or you can run into problems.

2: If you have more than one mv domain (or possibly more than 1 catalog?)
that also uses the same secure domain, cookies can cause problems if
you go through one catalog then a cookie is set according to that secure
domain then if you go to another domain and end up on the same secure
domain, it will read your cookie from the first catalog you visited and get
confused complaining that you don't have any items (because now it is
using the cart id from the previous catalog which doesn't exist on the
second catalog) I don't know if this problem effects newer versions of mv
the one I had a problem with was V 3.11 The only way to deal with this is
to either turn off your cookies, or restart your browser (which erases the
cookie)
