one-click search, v4alpha

I'm working with minivend 4alpha8, under Caldera OpenLinux v2.2

I have two one-click search links setup within the same page:

In a previous message within this mailing list, I've seen that the first style
is regarded as old-fashioned, and the second style is "preferred".

Problem: I can't get the second style to work.  When using the first style,
the resulting URL is properly formed:

  ...vlink/scan/se=Americana/sf=category/ml=3/tf=title?id=ichpSWBK&mv_pc=1

But, for the second style, the resulting URL doesn't include the args:

  ...vlink/scan/?id=ichpSWBK&mv_pc=2

Could this be an alpha4 bug, or am I doing something wrong?
