[mv] SW 7.0 & Alpha 4.0 error on make test - WAS: problem with perl on linux i think...

FWIW, I just completed the SW 7.0 installed and loaded 4.0, performed the config and did the make
test.    It make it all the way to the server/control test where it did blow with 'not communicating
with server' [test_dynamic] error 9.
