I have in one webserver (Apache and FreeBSD)
- 1 MV server
- 2 domain
- 6 shops or catalogs (3 shops in each catalogs).
The structure is e.g.
domain 1 ---cgi
---catalogs---shop 1
---shop 2
---shop 2
---public-html-space---index 1 for shop 1
---public-html-space---anotherdir---index 2 for shop 2
---public-html-space---anotherdir---index 3 for shop 3
domain 2 ---cgi
---catalogs---shop4 etc.
[etc.]
---public-html-space---index for shop 3 - 6
I believe, there are no problem to use e.g. this structure..
one global catalogs space --- cgi
--- catalogs --- shop 1
--- shop 2 etc.
or
cgi space for catalogs
one global catalogs space --- catalogs --- shop 1
--- shop 2 etc.
It seems me, the configurations of the webserver and/or catalog.cfg is
not right.
Maybe the permissions of the catalogs files are wrong too?
Hope this can help you.
Regards,
Joachim
