It may be different for you, but for me the minimate program was kinda confusing...
I actually got much further playing with the sample catalog and going from there.
I am a programmer though, so it is fairly easy for me to adapt to the way minivend
uses variables and such,
Which may be diferent in your case.
I also find it less restricting to just edit it by hand than using a graphical
interface. The sample catalog has
some excellent examples that with enough playing around you should be able to figure
it all out.
Just remember to backup files when you decide to play with a feature,
cuz when your new to it, your likely to mess something up like me ^_^
