Re: [mv] Learn Perl to Install Minimate

******    message to minivend-users from Bill Spornitz <lumpylabs@MBnet.MB.CA>     ******

Programs that are *robust* enough to be released on a larger scale are
often released as source code, and then are *compiled* by those machines
(that intend on running them) as applications. Compiling (to put it simply)
changes the code into a form that specific machine languages can use. (At
my place, that's MacOS ;-> )

*make* is the command (usually in a *nix environment) that says *please
compile this source code* into an application that your machine can use.
Usually, this is predicated with a *configure* command, which instructs the
software to prepare the source code for compilation.

Hope this helps  ;-)
