[mv] Perl problem solved
****** message to minivend-users from Scott Satterthwaite <ssattert@homier.com> ******
With the help of a well advised pointer from Barry Treahy, the problem I
was having with my user-tag not reading a field in the product table is
solved.
A valuable lesson I will not forget:
When you upload a new products.asc, it is a VERY good idea to delete the
products.gdbm file before restarting Minivend.
When I think about it, it sort-of makes sense, though I'm still not sure
how I was able to get the field contents with [item-field shipmthd] in
the checkout page and not get it in the user-tag using
"Vend::Interpolate::tag_data('products','shipmthd',$item->{code})".
Does the Item-Loop use the asc file and tag_data the gdbm file??
At any rate, correcting this problem and studying my PERL syntax a
little closer took care if it!
Thanks Barry!
