[mv] Can't reconfigure
****** message to minivend-users from Jason Bodnar <jbodnar@tivoli.com> ******
I just recently set up minivend 3.14-5 on a box running Mandrake Linux 6.1.
I made a catalog -- olot. I can connect to http://localhost/olot just fine.
I want to use mysql as a backend so I added the following lines to catalog.cfg
in the olot directory:
Database products products.tab dbi:mysql:olot
Database products USER olot
Database products DELIMITER TAB
When I try to reconfigure from the command line I get the following:
# ./reconfig
Password:
Reconfiguration failed.
I typed the root password at the prompt. Is that the right password?
So, then I tried reconfiguring from the web-based admin interface. It failed as
well:

WARNING: Reconfiguration may have timed out. /opt/mvend/etc/status.olot
Last config: Wed Feb 9 15:17:50 2000
I got the following in the error log:
- - - [09/February/2000:15:58:50 -0600] - - Config 'olot' from running server
(13551)
- - - [09/February/2000:15:58:50 -0600] - - olot config error: Undefined
subroutine &Vend::Table::DBI::create called at
/opt/mvend/lib/Vend/Table/Import.pm line 160, <IN> chunk 2.
- - - [09/February/2000:15:58:50 -0600] - - Error reconfiguring catalog
/cgi-bin/olot from running server (13551)
Also, now when I go to http://localhost/olot I get a server error. The only
error message in the apache error log if premature end of script headers.
