How do you know that?
I read it somewhere in the documentation. The rand.html files are in the
/pages directory. I view the documentation online line using the frames
option so the table of contents is in the left frame. If I am looking for a
particular piece of code I use the find function in the browser to search.

Where is the layout defined?
The layout for index.html is in the page itself. Basically you can
configure it any way you like just like html. All it is displaying is
selected data and images from the products.asc file. In my curent page I
have 2 layout optins depending on whethetr there is an imag available or
not.

It finds them.
Good so it looks like you only need to get the correct product numbers in
the rand.html files
Re the dollar sign in the products.asc file. I edit my products.asc file in
microsoft access then export it to a tab delimited file. For some reason I
set the price field as currency in access so when I export I get the $ sign
in products.asc. It does not seems to affect anything.
Thanks,
pete
