[mv] if-data with SQL?

Hi list,

i'm new in MySQL and i work with success. But i'm (desperatly?) seeking
for a little bit of SQL or MV codes like

if exist <The seeking codes> then etc.

This is the part codes to list the category names:

st=sql
fi=category
sf=name
ra=yes"]

<A HREF="http://__SERVER_NAME____CGI_URL__/brands_right_x?;[loop-code]"; TARGET="RIGHT" >[loop-data category name]</A><BR><BR>

and this is the mv-codes to search for products with this brand and
this categroy.

But some brands hasn't any products in some categories. I want for
example
