[mv] [MV 4.0 beta1] More SQL problems

Hi list,

I am trying to make a simple SQL serach according to the latest mvdocs:
<form method="post" action"[area search]"> 
<input type=hidden name=mv_searchtype value="sql">
<input type=hidden name=mv_sql_query 
	value="SELECT * from products where autor = ? ">
<input type=text name=mv_searchspec value="" size="20">
<input type=submit value="GO">

An error page comes up:
Sorry, there was an error in processing this form action. (Can't locate
object method "name" via package "SQL::Statement::Param" at 
/usr/local/minivend/lib/Vend/Scan.pm line 686)
The mySQL log shows an access entry  with only "Select * from products".

It appears that the "?" is not substituted (??).

Does anyone have experience wiuth this SQL search? Is it still active in
MV4?

I have tried to use the [tag sql][/tag] as documented in the latest
mvdocs only to find out that in the WHATSNEW it says that this tag
apparently has been removed. But it is still in the latest MV4 docs as a
feature. 

Any help would be appreciated.
