[mv] Installation problem

****** message to minivend-users from "Curt Hauge" <chc@mninter.net> ******

Hello,

I am trying to install MV 3.14-3. I get the following error(s) when I run
./configure from the minivend-3.14-3 directory. I have tried perl
Makefile.PL, and have sustituted perl for the exact path of perl. I have
tried different paths to different versions of perl. I have been through the
FAQ pages, browsed the archived email, viewed numerous install files,
uninstalled and reinstalled, viewed the files in /doc, and more. I still
believe it is a problem with Perl, but would like a second opinion before I
call the ISP again (they don't seem too concerned). =)

I gave my ISP another current version of perl (although I am not sure they
installed it as described). They put the perl file into my cgi-bin and now
get this message when I run Makefile.PL (/cgi-bin/perl Makefile.PL):

Can't locate ExtUtils/MakeMaker.pm in @INC (@INC contains:

sr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005 .) at Makefile.PL line 1.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at Makefile.PL line 1.

My ISP has Redhat Linux release 5.2, (Appolo) Kernel 2.0.36 on an i686. They
run perl ver. 5.004, although the new perl they put in my cgi-bin is 5.005.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Curt Hauge
