[mv] Aliasing a secure server

Thanks to all those responding to my prior request to using a separate SSL
especially kyle@invisio.com. The alias looks like a viable option, but my
sysadmin can't get an alias with a tilde (~) to be
accepted. I need to alias ~mediamob/cgi-bin/store. Has anyone encountered
this kind of problem, and have you solved it?

Please forgive my low detail level - while I can read server error logs, I
cannot directly alter minivend level configurations, or stop and start the
MV server, so I'm passing along my best understanding of admin questions.

(Yes, I know I'm over my head!)
