You can try using the [tag log] option... here is the example how to:
[tag log orders/report.txt][tag time]%X, %x[/tag] [value name]
[currency][calc][total-cost noformat=1]/1.04[/calc][/currency][/tag]
You can play with it and whatever calculations you want,
remmber to use this in the report. file in the etc directory or in the
receipt.html file in same directory...,
if you will use it somewhere else before those files... it will post you the
data to the file you want
but it wont assure you that a deal have been done (since user can always
cancel at checkout.html page)

I have a client who wants to know if there is a way to have an order report
that will report the total dollar amount for each sale and also report
another field with 10% of the total amount to help him track commissions.
