Thinks Mike.
I think my sessions got messed up with I crashed minivend with my
leaky perl code. The "basket" page came up with an internal server
error. The logs said:
> [05/March/2000:20:04:30 -0500] market-dev /
> market.cgi/ord/basket.html Runtime error: execute error: ERROR: parser: parse error at or > near ""
Deleting the my recent session files by hand corrected this, no worries.
:) I'm not reporting this as a "bug" since you can't really be
accountable for the strange behavior following a minivend crash, but I
thought you might want to know about the scenerio if you don't already.
I also took your recommendation about DBI session storage. I wanted to
access my sessions through an external SQL application, so I implemented
my own SQL session storage scheme, also based on the minivend session
id. It's was a bit hokey to duplicate what minivend was already doing,
but it works for me.
