You ***might*** be able to append another cgi setting after / before order and
then check for it's existence (using the system given on the mailing list a few
weeks ago, check their for directions on this) on the basket page.

Since only your external orders will contain this special tag/variable/thingy,
then you can make the basket page into a re-direct in the presence of that
variable and shoo the user right on into the first checkout page.

I don't know if this would work, but it makes logic to me.  If it does work,
then it's probably documented.
