[mv] Problem with static pages

****** message to minivend-users from Kristofer Munn <kmunn@munn.com> ******

Hi everyone. I'm having a problem with the static pages on a site and was
hoping someone out there could make some suggestions or correct me if I'm
all messed up!

I've added the appropriate settings to the catalog.cfg file:

Static Yes
StaticAll	Yes
StaticFly	Yes
StaticDir	(appropriate dir path)
StaticPath	(appropriate web path)

and am able to build the site staticly into the specified location without
a problem. Visiting the static pages directly works fine and the links in
the pages have been transformed to static links. However, after
restarting the minivend server, the minivend CGI still serves pages with
dynamic links (to the CGI) instead of serving pages with static code. On
startup, it says nothing about any static pages. I have been told that
once turned on, the minivend CGI should send pages that have links to
static pages that have been generated.

We are running a staging and live server on the same box and both are set
to build staticly in their individual catalog.cfg files. Both exhibit the
same behavior: the build runs fine but the CGI doesn't insert static links
in the pages.

Help! :-)
