[mv] Error with second products database

In minivend 4, I am working on integrating a products table into the catalog. I've taken (What I thought) where the neccesary steps to make this change. By changing the ProductFiles directive to the new products database. (It doesn't use a table called products, but rather ITEMFLE) It includes both the "required" price and description fields to satisfy some of thoe tags, and the catalog configuration proccess works really great.
All until I actually try to use the catalog, when working with the database using the old products table, everything works fine. Even when I include the new products table (ITEMFLE) as a arbitrary database and run queries against it. That's all swell...However, when I switch the ProductFiles directive over to the table, it gives me a :
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, root@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
The error log says :
Runtime error: Couldn't open '/home/minivend/catalogs/findpart/products/KEY' read/write: No such file or directory
Anyone have a clue what could be causing this behavior?
