[mv] Search / loop Number.....

1. When a search result is returned,
I would like to have a number beside each Result,
I.E. :
1. P-III 600Mhz Processor
2. P-III 550Mhz Processor
3. Micorosft Serial Mouse
4.
5.
etc...
What tag will print this number ?
2. is there a way to perfrom a check if this number is even/odd ??
I would like the Row colour to change every second row...
