RE: [mv] [mv 4.02] - make test fails
****** message to minivend-users from "Christopher Thompson" <ct@arborinternet.com> ******
I had the same experience on FreeBSD, with the:
link/inetmode.........not ok 5
server/control........not ok 6
I went ahead and installed (after manually fixing the Makefile). The
server starts up and serves pages fine. I noticed that the check script
does not work. It hangs (with -o) and eventually seems to time-out with a
link error. Probably the same error as reported by test. I have not
installed Minimate, but assume it might have problems as well.
I reported on the list before that the install script does not handle
virtual server environments where all the paths should be relative the
/usr/home/myname (including Perl and Apache). It is not clear to me
whether the link errors are from the install being bad or the virtual
server environment.
