Re: [mv] PGP key trouble

****** message to minivend-users from Barney Treadway <barney@wttech.com> ******

Many thanks to all.

I'm certain that Rob's way of doing this would make the most sense. However
in my clumsy way
I was able to get things going. Tricky problem was realising that the
PGP-6.5 directory was not where keys were, but rather in the .pgp directory
that only shows itself through telnet rather than any ftp client. Trying to
copy/export keys in the PGP-6.5 directory was unsuccessful, even when I knew
about the .pgp directory. I ended up copying the secret keychain out to
another directory where I could grab it with an FTP client, brought it over
to my local machine as binary, then imported the key with local PGP client.

Settings on my Linux box, 3.14-3 MV were:
Variable ENCRYPTOR /usr/local/bin/pgpe -r orders@mystore.com -fat
> 2>/home/mydir/pgp-error.log
Encrypt Program set to __Encryptor__

Hope this saves another rookie the pain.....

Did you get your wine yet Mike? ;-)

Barney
