[mv] Secure Sever SETUP

Please can anyone tell me the procedures for setting a secure server on an
Apache. That has already got a certificate.
I know the following;
1) Edit the "httpd.conf" in apache-ssl to allow cgi-bin to be accessed
securely.
2) Edit the "catalog.cfg", change "secureURL" to having "https://????.com";
3) Permissions are set up.
I was told about setting up several symbolic links, I do not know what to
set up. I know you use "ln" command.
the minivend is properly configured as I know it works insecurely. And when
I use SECURELY it says it's very busy or unavailable.
