Joel,

  I think you should be able to install 4.03 with the same parameters as
you did for 4.01, and minivend should fairly intelligently copy in new
files and back up old ones. I would still make a copy of your old ones
before your first attempt, though. :) I used this method as MV passed
through th 4.x alpha and beta series and up through 4.02 and it worked
for me.
