[mv] Secure Server and Permissions Problem

****** message to minivend-users from "Paul Burden" <paul_burden@tribalinternet.co.uk> ******

Hi all

I am still having problems.

I don't wish to create a new user for "mvend" for many users as I am already
using one. As said in the FAQ. I believe the permissions are preventing
minivend from working correctly.

When I "chmod u+s /cgi-bin/langdale-cat2" the following URL worked. Saw the
page pop up with the LOGO and all the extra /pages/ done in minivend.

https://langdalemodels.com/cgi-bin/langdale-cat2/

But when switching between "https" and "http" whilst navigating with the
webshop anchor links, the "http" url comes up with "premature end of script
problem in my "apache error log". Switching it BACK causes the program to
work.

In the FAQ they say "premeture end of script" is due to because of lack of
resources on the server but it isn't.

I got a feeling that "chmod u+s" permission helps this switching.

Can anyone help me understand this.
