I think I had accidentally started MySQL as root, which created the
database with both the owner and group set to root.  I changed the owner
on each file to mysql and the problem went away.

I did something like this:

cd /var/lib/mysql
chown mysql Vixens_minivend
cd Vixens_minivend
chown mysql *

This fixed it for me.

Thanks for the help Ken , however what are the permissions I need to
set.
I have already made all the permissions I thought . If you have any
thought I would greatlt appriciate it..
