RE: [mv] Minivend is just not working....I've tried everything
****** message to minivend-users from "Kevsurf" <kevsurf@mindspring.com> ******
Chris,
Are you sure a fresh version of Perl will work? I have just installed Perl
5.6 a few weeks ago.
Should I have done that?
I don't know what else to do -- should I use another shopping cart?
Anyone have success installing MV4.03 on RH Linux 6.0 with Perl 5.6?
Thanks,
Kevin

Well, if you are sure that your daemon is running (verified by checking
process table) _and_ you are sure your CGI is running (verified by getting
the page with the "MiniVend server not available" message in it) then the
two are not talking. That sounds like a port or socket problem. Maybe a
bad Perl install; maybe your system in not configured correctly.
