Hi list,

In February 1998, I ventured on bringing up my first shopping cart: the
Simple-demo. I was 48 then and a Linux novice. My work (=24 years of
teaching English in Dutch secondary schools) was getting into a rut and I
decided on becoming an entrepreneur, the only way to get out of this, it
seemed. I am now running my first Minivend E-Commerce shop for a major Dutch
playing material trader and there is another under construction. I think I
am now, after a year's  hard work, able to somehow configure that great
program, MiniVend, that enabled me to say goodbye to the treadmill.
We are running our own Linux-server at an ISP: 128 Mb. And MV has not been
down since Sept. 99 !! Great work guys!
It's being fed by MySQL, another great program.
