That is beside the point...even if someone were to send me a check
for 40 hours I wouldn't do it.

I do make the assumption that if it would take me a solid week it might
take someone not quite as familiar with the Minivend internals twice that
long or longer.

As I have stated many times before, my problem is not money.
I make an excellent living, and I can and do spend time developing
Minivend.

Money is a renewable resource. Time is not; particularly time spent on
a dubious project. Minivend is unlikely to run production systems well
on Windows for some time to come. Maybe never. The major advantage of
a Windows Minivend is that people can develop catalogs on their local
machine and then upload them to a virtual server. With a reasonable network
connection you can even do that in SQL, thanks to the magic of DBI.

Someday I might put out a mini-HOWTO on how to do that easily.
But there are probably things which are more important. Ahh, the
glories of never being bored. 8-)

The bottom line is that it would be a disservice to the Minivend
community to put out a version for Windows that would cause a sharp
uptick in the questions to the mail list without providing a reasonable
reward on the other side.
