[mv] Can't make catalog run on new server
****** message to minivend-users from "Paul Delys" <paul@gi.alaska.edu> ******
Hi All ... really hoping someone can help me with a problem ...
searched the archives and read the docs as best I could, but couldn't
find anything that appeared relevant.
I've created a catalog based on the "basic" demo. Works great on my
development server - RedHat 6.1, Apache 1.3, Sybase 11.03.3, Perl
5.6, DBI/DBD::Sybase, Bundle::Minivend, and MV 4.04 as of today. I
have the same configuration on the new production server. The "basic"
demo catalog runs without trouble on the new server.
My problem is that I can't get my storefront to load. I transfered
the catalog directory tree to the new server, replacing the "basic"
demo dir and updated catalog.cfg to reflect the new server url. When
I attempt to run "bin/minivend", minivend appears to load the
definitions for all the sybase databases, then hangs, consuming all
the cpu time and gradually consuming memory until it core dumps.
None of the catalog/error.log, mvend/error.log, httpd/logs/error_log,
or /tmp/mvdebug files show any errors.
Does anyone have an idea where I'm missing the boat here?
Thanks in Advance!
Paul Delys
