[mv] Database question

Hi,
   I'm new to Minivend but have a question.
I am using PostreSQL and Minivend 4.04.  I
want to set up the simple catalog.  Does the makecat 
script create the tables or do they have to exist 
before running makecat?  What do the files in the 
pgsql directory do?  Any other help in getting 
started with minivend would help considerably.
