starting with the obvious you have read both your
catalogs and minivends error.logs?

if so...

wild stab 1:
/path_to_dir_containing_minivend/etc/minivend.pid
make sure is set with user and group set to   eileen 
eileen

wild stab 2:
-rwsr-xr-x    1 cricshop cricshop     7456 Apr 19
04:34 ci
maybe try to chmod your catalog to match the above
(which works for me) MVend is a tad pedantic about
permissions ;-)  and your problem is almost certainly
a permissions one.

give those a try, if they don't work count to ten,
then get back on the list...
