I find it takes me around three hours to set up the framework, and then a
good 5-10 hours for the design portion (about the time of a normal website
design).

It depends on what kind of crazy features they want, it seems like no two
shops want the same kind of shipping (i want UPS shipping for odd weights,
and FedEx for even)...  then there's all kinds of strange price breaks (ok,
if they order a multiple of 7, they get half off, otherwise it's 11% off)...
well, maybe not that crazy, but sometimes it seems that way.
