Brigitt!,

All depeneds on your needs..., so my answer will be quite yes...

The last thing i want to make you is upset....,
My first 2 catalogs using Minivend, where made from tags only..., Altought i
have programing
skills..., I dont think i used them in my first 2 catalogs..., i built 2
stores only from the tags....
and without cut and paste..., but reading the documents & browsing the
simple demo to get the
idea..., without single perl line, and without any source digging..... and
they work!
i know they can work faster, and better if i will build them today from
scratch with all i learned...
Ofcourse, if you need somthing which is with lots of extras... you need the
perl knowledge
and good programing skills....
> It's a lie and everyone who wants to convince me otherwise to sell me

You will excuse me, but it aint a lie..., the first 2 catalogs made for
friends
and they needed it as simple and as fast as the could on the web...
The current project i run, is for the company where i work, and i am putting
everything i
know on it... including my programing skills, in perl, and in the VB and
java
since it includes a back office software.
I am still with my opinion, If you want it quick & fast on the web..., you
can
do it with out being a programmer...

Sorry, i am not a consultant, I am a Networking/Hardware guy...
Well as sombady mentioned his skills before, I do write in Assembler,
Visual Basic, Java, Pascal, Perl, PL1, Prolog, PHP & ASP (all of those
learning for fun... not for consulting)
But i dont call my self a consultant..., again 2 catalogs for friends &
1 catalog for the company where i work.... Didnt took money for
my work.
> How can you understand MiniVend without digging deep in the source

I learned perl becouse of MiniVend..., Before starting.... i had a problem
with hebrew charters being translated to wirdo things.... i had to go to the
sources, and find the problem since no one knew the answer in the list....
it took me 2 days... since u r an expert, i belive if you did it, it would
take
you 2 minutes... but we both will get same results....
Again!,
Mike built a wonderful packege, That not only professional and consultants
can build with a store, also the regular guy who want to sell his 30
t-shirts
models..., and i think such a guy can take the simple catalog, or build his
own
simple catalog with being a consultant....
I think that was Mike's basic intention when he made it GNU / Freeware / GPL
or whatever you pepole call it....
Please dont be upset, The intention of my preivous e-mail was to prove to
those 2
PHP writters that they are wrond (if the dont use minivend, since its so bad
and buggy
and the rest of the things...., why do they bother being on this list?????)
Thanks,
Eran.
