[mv] output of cgi script in page

I am looking for a simple way to take the output (exec) a .cgi script
and place it in a small section of a minivend page. Something similiar
to using SSI. Actually SSI is my train of thought at this point but
minivend just writes the script called to the page and not the output of
said script. Any ideas.
